Sex Trafficking - Protecting Our Children

In 2019, County Attorney Polk was presented with the Beacon of Hope Award for her work to combat sex trafficking and sexual crimes against children. She has served as a member of the Arizona Governor’s Human Trafficking Council since 2013 and has worked hard to raise awareness of the horrific crime of child sex trafficking. In 2019, County Attorney Polk’s office successfully prosecuted two sex traffickers who were trafficking girls in the Dewey area of the county. These two criminals are now behind bars for lengthy prison sentences.
