Sheila Polk is in her 20th year serving as the Yavapai County Attorney. She is a tough, hard-working, boots on the ground prosecutor who is passionate about public safety and quality of life for the residents of Yavapai County. After graduating from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 1982, she held a prestigious one-year clerkship at the Arizona Supreme Court. She then worked for 11 years as an Arizona assistant attorney general and served another seven years as a deputy Yavapai county attorney before first winning election as County Attorney in the year 2000. Today, Polk holds positions of leadership in many professional organizations, including serving as Chair of the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council, and the Governor’s Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership.
